Negative Team ( The opposition team):
¢  Oppose the motion defined by the Affirmative.
    ¢  Build a counter-case against the Affirmative.
¢  Challenge the definition if invalid only.
    a. Elements of  Matter :
    1. Definitions:
    - Set up of the debate
    2. Arguments:
    - Must be logical
    - Must be relevant
    3. Evidences:
    - Must be relevant
    - Evidential value (strength)
    4. Rebuttals:
    - Must be logical
    - Must be relevant
    - Must be prompt

    b. Rule of debate
    Motion :
    The topic which is debatable

    Parameter :
Limitation of the argument, is the limit which has to be given by the positive team therefore the debate does not out of the motion. The parameter is very important because in debating will appear new ideas which probably will not clash at one point. Therefore, the parameter is to limit the argument/the debate. The parameter is also a trap to other team If their argument out of your parameter.  If the positive team doesn’t give the parameter therefore the negative team has the right to give the parameter and that’s really dangerous because the way of debate is lead by opponent’s team.
    Team Split :
The parts which will be spoken by each of the speaker. For example : society point of view, law point of view, morality point of view, health point of view, and etc.

    Themeline :
The main line/point of the motion from the whole argument.

    Matter :
The material which is delivered and related to the motion (Do not out of motion).

    Manner :
The way to deliver the argument : polite, explicit, assuring, clear, and intonation must not slow according to your argument. Keep your body languange according to your argument. with a little bit emotion, but no raging).

    Method :
The delivered of speech method from 1st speaker-3rd speaker and the dividing of task must be clear. All of this elements influenced the margin of adjudicators.
    .
    Timer :
This also very important because the more time you deliver the speech and better on score. But, our long time before the knock is also counted.

    Reply Speech :
The conclusion which strengthen the argument. Only delivered by 1st speaker and 2nd speaker by each of the team (The 3rd speaker is not allowed to delivered the reply speech) . it is important to remember that in reply speech the spaker can not open the new case or idea. Only comparion (negative team) and defending (positive team).

    POI (Point of Information)
POI is  interuption which is given to the speaker who delivered the argument by other team only 15 seconds. Each speaker has the right to accept or decline the POIs.

The tasks of  Affirmative Team :

1st speaker: (1st speaker has the most specific task, do not miss them)
    1. Introducing team.
    2. Giving the motion, parameter, themeline and team split.
    3. Argument.

    2nd speaker:
    1. Rebutle the 1st speaker of Negative Team.
    2. Argument.

    3rd speaker:
    1. Rebutle the 2nd speaker of Negative Team.
    2. Strengthen the argument from 1st and 2nd speaker.
    3. Giving example and solution to strengthen the entire argument of the team.

Specifically for the 3rd speaker better be clear and explicit person and know how to speak loudly but polite because the 3rd speaker is the key to the whole debate and the argument.

Basically, the negative team has the same tasks as the positive team. But, the negative does not have to give the parameter If the positive team did give them. Therefore, as the negative team, the 1st speaker must be sharp to the task. Remember, If the positive team does not give parameter the negative team can take it!

The tasks of  Negative Team :

1st speaker: (1st speaker has the most specific task, do not miss them)
    1. Rebutle the 1st speaker of affirmative Team
    2. Introducing team.
    3. team split.
    4. Argument.

    2nd speaker:
    1. Rebutle the 2nd speaker of affirmative Team.
    2. Argument.

    3rd speaker:
    1. Rebutle the 2nd speaker of affirmative Team.
    2. Strengthen the argument from 1st and 2nd speaker.
